2/14 Light Horse Regiment (QMI) Association Inc.
The   2nd/14th   Light   Horse   Regiment   (Queensland   Mounted   Infantry)   Association   Inc. is   a   non-profit   organization   established   in   2013   to   support   the   Australian   Army's   2/14 LHR   (QMI),   fostering   camaraderie   among   its   members   and   friends   and   promoting the Regiment's rich history. It   serves   as   a   link   between   current   and   former   members,   providing   social   events,   a Newsletter   ‘Forward’   and   lobbying,   advocacy   activities   through   its   affiliation   with   the RAAC Corporation Ltd and the Alliance of Defence Service Organisations (ADSO). Purpose of the Association. Foster Comradeship: To maintain and build strong bonds among members, their families and friends. Promote the Regiment: To highlight the history and achievements of the 2/14 LHR (QMI) and its historical lineage. Support the Regiment:To provide assistance and support to the Commanding Officer and current members of the Regiment. Lobby and Welfare: To act as a representative body for members, lobbying for their interests and promoting their welfare through organizations like the RAAC Corporation Ltd and ADSO. Organize Events: To conduct various social events and gatherings for members to attend. Membership. Membership    is    open    to    current    and    former    members    of    the    Regiment including   current/prior   members   of   Regiments   where   a   'black   hat'   regimental origin/connection   existed.   This   includes   their   partners,   family   members   and service friends. There   are   different   classes   of   membership   available   which   are   outlined   on our Application form (follow link below). Membership   offers   benefits   such   as   regular   social   events,   newsletters,   voting rights at meetings, lapel badge and vehicle window sticker. Members,   former   members,   partners,   friends   of   the   Regiment   and   associated ‘black hats’ are invited to join the Association for a nominal fee. Continue the camaradrie gained while serving, by becoming a member of the Association. Current members welcome your membership and participation.

The Association holds the following Insurance: Professional Indemnity of $1M, Public Liability of $20M, Products Liability of $20M and Property Insurance of $100K through a group Policy arranged by The RAAC Corporation Ltd. Details available through the Association Secretary.
